80's Flashback With a Modern Twist: Jem & The Holograms And The Misfits 2010 By Hayden Williams!

If you were around in the 80's, then you must of heard of Jem & The Holograms.....if you haven't, then i'm bringing them BACK!! Here are my takes on the fabulously outrageous rock stars who are rumoured to be making their comeback. I wasn't even born in the 80's but i LOVE this cartoon and the music was awesome (and so it should be since it was backed by MTV) Almost every Jem fan is hoping for a comeback and i am too!

Monster High 'Dawn Of The Dance' Illustration.

From left to right: Cleo De Nile, Frankie Stein & Clawdeen Wolf are all decked out in freakishly fabulous fashions for the Monster Bash! These are inspired by the Dawn Of The Dance collection of dolls from the Monster High line by Mattel but with my own little tweaks to the outfits. monsterhigh.com

Bratz Comeback: Fall 2010 10th Anniversary Illustration.

That's right! The Bratz are turning 10 this year and to celebrate, they are making a big comeback with fashion dolls/accessories galore. These dolls have become a major hit since their release back in 2001 but it hasn't been all smooth sailing for the company that makes them (MGA Entertainment). There was a major court battel between MGAE and Mattel over who should own the rights to produce Bratz dolls after Mattel claimed that the concept for the dolls was thought of by one of their own designers while still under contract. After all the drama, MGAE were rightly given back the rights after Mattel had thought they had won. Just goes to show how important the fashion doll industry is with the Bratz raking in major $$$$ and at the height of their success....even knocking #1 fashion doll Barbie off her throne! I have done an illustration of the new look Bratz from the 10th Anniversary collection.

Monster High Illustration - Too Ghoul For School!

Monster High - The new fashion dolls by Mattel that i mentioned before. You may have seen my Frankie Stein illustration in a previous post, but this time i illustrated some more of the characters wearing 'Too Ghoul For School' fashions designed by me (i came up with that name too lol) From left to right: Lagoona Blue, Clawdeen Wolf, Frankie Stein, Draculaura & Cleo De Nile.

This was inspired by Glen Hanson, the amazing artist who illustrated the art for the line.
